Effective immediately: Due to a request we received from Kings Records Co. Ltd. of Japan, we have removed our translation fansubs and live performance songs audio files for the following Sailor Moon musicals:
* Petite Étrangère
* Un Nouveau Voyage
* Amour Eternal
* Le Mouvement Final
Following the take down of some musicals, will you release the subtitle-only files?
Unfortunately, no. Despite it being technically possible, the subtitles were made based off of the original online broadcasts from various streaming services in Japan and NOT the DVD releases. While we were hoping to eventually re-time and re-release videos with the DVD source, this is a very time consuming process that we have not made any headway on. When we get a take down notice from official sources, we must comply and cancel the ones that the notice effects. Even if we went and subbed them, we would have no means to guarantee that these would work with no issue, and are unable to offer support for the many ways in which one would create their own subtitled video.
7/8/18 addition to FAQ in response to this notice:
Will you upload the musicals on (name upload site here, i.e. Google Drive)?
We wish we could, but that is also a definite NO. As much as what most people would use to share their content, it also is a way to pirate content that goes against the licencor’s wishes. See the first answer for the rest of the explanation.
It’s sad really, they don’t want any fansubbed versions of the musicals to be available to the Non Japanese world,
yet they refuse to even consider adding sub titles to ANY of the commercial DVD’S they produce.
That’s a great way to kill interest in the series around the world, and make it a convenient excuse
to kill the franchise altogether. If they don’t want to sub title their DVD’S, they could at least make a
printed translation available for international fans, but i guess that would just be going too far.
Stay optimistic they could be planning to do just that for international fans. The latest musical was subtitled and in theaters.
I’m cautiously optimistic – Le Mouvement Finale is actually screening in theatres all over Australia. Here’s hoping…
I’m so upset. By chance, I saw that my local theater was doing a special screening of Le Mouvement Final, and on a whim decided to go see it. I absolutely fell in love with it, and went again one week later to see the encore screening. It inspired me to look into all of the other musicals. To see that they were taken down 3 days ago breaks my heart. I haven’t been able to find them anywhere and this was my last hope. If anyone knows where I could find these, I’d be forever grateful.
I can understand why the videos and soundtrack would be taken down, but is it possible to still have the fansubs themselves available? Like a subtitles only download of the .ass and/or .srt files? No two translations are the same and I did see the screening at my local theater. I would really appreciate just the subtitle files if possible. Love the work you guys do.
Allen Pugh is totally right. It’s bogus that Kings Records Co. is pulling the ONLY available English translation of the musicals without offering a legal alternative. They could release international DVDs or stream the subbed musicals on Hulu or Crunchyroll but it looks like they don’t have plans to do that. I hope I’m wrong but my hopes aren’t very high.
Since we actually did just get a theatrical release of Le Mouvement Final and the credits for that showed the other musicals that got C&D’s, I don’t see why anyone WOULDN’T think they were all getting official English releases.
I am just curious: Is there any where to view the graduation ceremony for 2016 Un Nouveau Voyage? Since it doesn’t have songs and it’s not the actual musical? I’ve been dying to see this for a long time. I have searched everywhere that I can think of. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Just a quick question….I heard Viz maybe picking up the original musicals and subbing them could they also be picking up the 20th anniversary musicals including the final 2017 one since it was in theatres….thanks
just was wondering if anyone else heard anything about that…..I suggest we all write to Kings Records Co. Ltd. of Japan, and ask them to release a subtitled dvd that is region free or region 1 for the US and try to make a contact with VIZ to distribute it as it would be a little cheaper that way they can also do all box sets or all seramyu – past and present
We are unaware of this news, but always take these news as a grain of salt until Viz announces it themselves. Where did you heard this from?
I heard it from a chat room connected to Viz — probably fans dreaming a but ya never know — maybe we need to a letter writing campaign or an online petition to sub all musicals and release them in a region free dvd format so that the dvd will work with all dvds and not just the region in which the player comes from — this way we could see a release of all musicals in the USA — maybe VIZ could help I don’t know just a thought
I just bought the Le Mouvement Final dvd on my trip to Tokyo last week, but as I’m pretty much useless on Japanese, I’m wondering if you’d have a text file of the translation script. I’ll read it along when watching the dvd.
Where can I buy sailor moon la mouvement?
Is there a subbed copy?
That’s sad… I would have like to see them… Is there an online service to see it with some subtitles? or not at all?
Thank you for sharing for so many years, I appreciate it even if the greedy corporations want to be [REDACTED] about it.
I want everything back!!
where can i get the songs??
cowards
I’m so sad I got here too late… :(
sigh:/ i know the feeling, when i was doing my english fandubs of the new songs, mine got blocked on youtube, the old musical songs are still up, and luckily la reconquista and about 2-3 petite etrangere songs made it out of the fray, but otherwise i could not post them anymore:/ so i ended up moving onto other fan projects of another franchise, which i love, but i still miss doing sera myu fandubs:/
