This download is of the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Memorial book. This is a Japanese fan publication, jointly authored by six individuals. It was published on April 28th, 2013, so it is a fairly recent publication. It is extensive; it covers the history of the Sailor Moon comic book series, 1992 anime series, musicals, and live action series. This is quite the collector’s item; not only because it is so recent, but also because it is so expansive.
I personally find this book extremely valuable, especially in terms of my personal interest in collecting back issues of Japanese magazines such as Nakayoshi, Nakayoshi Deluxe, and RunRun in order to own all of the original serializations of Sailor Moon, Codename: Sailor V, and all of the other works of Naoko Takeuchi. This book, published almost two years after I began my own research, features more information and leads on what I needed than I was able to obtain on my own.
For fans of the Sailor Moon musicals, live-action series, and 1992 anime, there are sections devoted to them that are just as detailed, and just as useful. It is a shame that this book is only available in Japanese, because it is a cornerstone of information for the Sailor Moon fandom. I wish I had the time to translate it into English myself. (Maybe somebody out there will consider hiring me to do this?)
In any case – for fans out there who CAN read Japanese, please enjoy this download. I hope you will find it as informative as I have. I really can’t recommend it enough. Sincere thanks are owed to eternalruth of junketsu.org for purchasing a copy of the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Memorial Book to share with us!
