Seijaku no Hostie

Translation by Sasha.

NOTES:
*seitai refers to the body of Christ. Infinity Arc loves liturgical terms.
*possible idiomatic use of kesshou; “ no kesshou”/“the crystal of ” is roughly equivalent to the English idiom to “fruit of ”.
*fuchi literally means “deep water” or “abyss”, but figuratively refers to “depths” (of despair) or a “grip” (of death)
*“sukeru koto mo nai” literally means “nothing can pass through”, but it made for a clumsy sentence in translation.
*similarly, “sawaru koto mo nai” means “nothing can touch”.

Kanji

English

Soul of the rising star
Soul of the cracking darkness
The wounded, burned urge to kill
Hanging in the air –
Who are you?
Ah, even the crystal of life
can’t be seen in these hollow eyes
Wallowing, locked
in the grip of death
You are the one who will be destroyed,
I am the one who will be reborn

These nails are tarnished by night
The opaque4 black Hostie
This hair melts into darkness
The untouchable black Mistress

Soul of the destroying star
Soul of the bursting darkness
I am the Hostie of Silence
Mistress 9
The Hostie of Silence
