More than twenty years ago, we first discovered Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon through TV Nihon fansubs.
It was the era of dial up internet and early torrent trackers. Downloads took hours, sometimes all night. Each new Act meant staying up late, watching a progress bar inch forward, hoping the connection would hold. The video quality was rough and the files were imperfect, but none of that mattered. What mattered was the experience of watching PGSM as it aired in Japan, week by week, alongside fans around the world.
Those fansubs did more than make the show accessible. They inspired something lasting. Watching PGSM sparked a desire to truly understand the language and culture behind it, and became one of the core reasons Elly decided to take learning Japanese seriously. That choice shaped her career path, led her to Tokyo, and eventually helped give rise to Miss Dream itself.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon holds a deep and meaningful place in the space between teenager and adulthood. It was a constant during a time of change, growth, and self discovery. Miss Dream exists because of that period, and because of the inspiration PGSM provided.
It is our hope that fans who were watching along during the original broadcast can remember those late nights, those slow downloads, and the special place Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon continues to hold in their hearts. We also hope to welcome and inspire new fans who are discovering the series for the first time through this ultimate collection.
With PGSM now re-airing in Japan, Miss Dream is honored to present a new release that exists not to replace the past, but to build upon it. This is our most complete, carefully restored, and lovingly translated fansub project to date.

The translations in this release have been fully refreshed. More than a decade has passed since our original fansub release. In that time, the translator has moved to Tokyo, gaining years of linguistic growth, cultural fluency, and lived experience.
That journey is reflected throughout the release:

More than twenty years ago, many of us were inspired by fansub groups like TV Nihon and Ryuusei Fansubs. They showed us what was possible. That fans, working carefully and respectfully, could preserve shows that might otherwise never reach the people who loved them.
Those groups shaped how we watched tokusatsu, how we learned Japanese, and how we understood fansubbing as an act of care rather than convenience.
Miss Dream exists because of that legacy.
