Newtype

Newtype was launched by the publishing company Kadokawa Shoten on March 8, 1985 with its April issue, and has since seen regular release on the 10th of every month in Japan. Both were donated by the wonderful Alica!

This is a photograph book of the actresses from PGSM. It includes pictures of them out of costume and in costume, and question and answer interviews of the five main actresses. If purchased from Sony’s online shop, “Catch Book”, you will receive a bonus 6 postcard set.

Sailor Moon S Knit

This is a collection of knitting patterns for Sailor Moon cosplay and other Sailor Moon inspired clothing pieces from the S season of the Anime, Published by Kodansha. The book is meant for small children, but includes notes for moms who would make the costumes for their children. It also includes a few cross stitch patterns. This type of book is very rare and hard to find.

Sailor Moon Speculate

This is a fan publication by : “Tadano Mannaka” (witch literally translates to “Just an average guy”) and Tokuda Kenni. Published in 1994, it’s filled with rare pictures and essays. It provides a cultural backdrop to Sailor Moon and is Probably the most in-depth fan publication on the subject ever written, and very hard to find. It’s also very expensive, as copies go for a high price on ebay if you can find one. It is hailed as the “Sailor Moon bible” in Japan.

    Are the two Newtype magazines supposed to have so few pages or has there been an error with uploading the files? The 1993 issue has 6 pages and half of the cover is missing while the 1996 issue only has 3 pages.

    There’s been an error with the Out magazines. The gallery download link for the May 1993 issue actually downloads the February 1993 issue and the download link for the March 1994 issue downloads the August 1993 issue. Basically, there aren’t any download links for the May ’93 and March ’94 issues. Could you please fix this?
