Happy Miss Dream Monday everyone! We hope you enjoyed our occasional garage sale, where we sell off materials used to make the galleries and downloads all throughout the site! If you didn’t get a chance to buy anything, don’t fret! There is still plenty of merchandise to buy at drastically reduced prices compared to what they were purchased for! Also, be sure to check out our auction containing near-perfect Nakayoshi magazines containing ALL of PQ Angels! As many of you know, these issues were the only place these chapters were ever printed. Now you have a chance to own the entire story as printed, not taken apart! Check this out and the sale, which will go on until everything is gone!
Sailor Moon Original Picture Collection Vol. I |
This week, we return to expanding our raws section with the book we’ve been teasing for months, the first Kodansha Sailor Moon Picture Collection book! This book is fairly rare enough as it is, with scans of this caliber being even more so. A very big thank you goes to staff member Cyborgarmgun, who graciously lent us her copy to tear apart (as we tortured our twitter followers in this video posting last month), making these high quality scans possible! I took a lot of time and care, manually scanning each individual page to ensure the best scan possible. We hope you enjoy the first Sailor Moon Picture Collection book even more than ever before! | ||
Next up, we continue our raws expansion with four Japanese magazines being posted for your pleasure. The first of these four is the November 2013 issue of ROLa magazine. ROLa magazine is a bi-monthly publication featuring popular Japanese culture news, specifically geared toward young women. This is the second issue, featuring the second part of the first interview with Sailor Moon series creator Naoko Takeuchi in over a decade. A famous Japanese pop-culture icon, Shounen Aya (think the Japanese version of Perez Hilton) has an on-going segment where he does interviews with “icons” within the Japanese pop culture world. To read an English translation of the Naoko Takeuchi featured in this magazine, click here! Next up is the October 2013 issue of Engeki Book. Engeki Book is a Japanese monthly periodical which focuses on the theater and musical scene in Tokyo. This issue features an interview with the actresses for Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus from “Sera Myu” Sailor Moon La Reconquista. You can read a translated version of the interview here. COntinuting on is the October 2013 issue of Hyper Hobby Japan. Hyper Hobby Japan is a monthly periodical that focuses mainly on Japanese tokusatsu series, figurines, and sentai merchandise. This particular issue features a one-page interview with Osano Fumio about Sailor Moon La Reconquista, with the translation of this interview coming soon. Rounding out this batch is the August 2013 issue of Nylon Japan. Nylon Japan is a monthly Japanese fashion periodical. This issue is note-worthy because it features an article with Sailor Moon cosplay, which we are undecided on if we will translate it or not yet. But this won’t stop you from enjoying the pictures throughout! | ROLa magazine November 2013 Issue |

Thanks to kyokochan, another flyer has been added to our Sailor Moon: La Reconquista page. This can be found at the bottom with the rest. Thank you for letting us know of this and sharing it with us!
Last but not least, staff member Misty has finished another Kodansha error guide. This one encompasses the recent Sailor Moon Short Stories 1 book that came out recently. Definitely well worth the read! It is very comprehensive as always!
And that will end off the week! It’s been great being back in the swing of things following our gallery software nightmare coming to a close, and it’s especially satisfying to finally have the first Sailor Moon Picture Collection book online! We were very happy having the chance to make these scans, and be able to share the contents of this amazing Sailor Moon Picture Collection book in a very high quality! Next week, we will likely have a couple more raw downloads added in, and possibly more to come as well! Until then, we hope you enjoy the new additions of the Sailor Moon Picture Collection book, the magazines, flyer, and error guide! Again, please check out the garage sale and complete PQ Angels in Nakayoshi auction! See you next week!
UPDATE!!: Guys this is CyborgArmGun And I regret to inform everyone, but It has been confirmed by Sarah Ruth Forde (Sakky) that my Artbook is in fact a Bootleg. I apologize about this, and am flipping tables over it. Hopefully you at least like the hires scans of the bootleg in the meantime. I at least would like to have a legit copy to scan for you guys, but they are very expensive, so there will be some discussion on how to obtain legit copies. For now it is up in the air on how we will obtain them, BUT!! we do plan on working a way out so that we can. Please bide with us for my personal mistake, and I apologize profusely.
I got excited when I saw you had scanned the first artbook, but I was really disappointed to see that they all have a very strong moire pattern. Did you enable descreening on your scanner? It should help getting rid of the moire.
Sadly, even with descreening, this is how the 600 DPI scans turned out – turns out the book itself is a boot leg, and if you look at the images in real life up close you can see the moire pattern. Resizing the images to make them smaller reduces the appearance of the moire pattern.
@@ Wow, that sucks! I’m sorry to hear it was a bootleg. I’m terrified of trying to buy a copy myself because of that reason. :/ Hopefully the upcoming new artbook will be worth buying though! :D
Oh, on a random note, I was browsing Ebay earlier and found an illustration doujinshi called Heart Moving by the circle Niji no Saki. It has super-cute artwork. Maybe something for Miss Dream’s doujinshi section? :)
I don’t collect doujinshi myself (everthing here has been donated) – but I would never turn down raws, if you decided to buy and scan it! :D
There are still plenty of doujins untranslated in sailormoon.biz non-hentai raws section (warning: the main page and most of the sections are heavily NSFW).
I would recommend this: http://sailormoon.biz/displayimage.php?album=2&pid=10353#top_display_media or this: http://sailormoon.biz/displayimage.php?album=2&pid=7317#top_display_media
Also, three-lights.net scans lots of modern beautiful doujins and dreams to get them scanlated!
Also, hey… I wonder if this will ever be available? (link removed)
sassypants678’s Edit: Hi there, WP won’t let me reply to this directly, but at this time I’m so swamped with other requests that while I’m happy to share doujinshi raws for free, I will be translating only for a fee. As for the link you asked about, I’d prefer not to have that public right now, and did not realize that anyone was able to access it. I have turned the page private, and ask you kindly that you do not share it right now. Thank you for your kind cooperation and support! :)
Ah, so I misunderstood you a bit, sorry ^^
No problem, then.
Yummy scans :3 Thank you!
Anyway, now we at least know what are those books like inside. I wondered for a long time. I’m glad we have it now even if it was a bootleg.
