Sailor Moon Crystal Mook

Again donated by Mizuno Caitlin of Wild Mushroomland!

Mizuno Caitlin: Published this week, the First Visual Book isn’t entirely comprehensive. There are things obviously left out, like details on Sailor Venus’s transformation. But, what we have gotten reads and looks like a news magazine for everything that has been released and produced thus far in this whirlwind Sailor Moon revival. Included are: Momoiro Clover Z photo sets, interviews, and behind the scenes content. Character designs and profiles for all characters who have appeared on screen thus far. A look into the backdrops and storyboards used to render the animation. Interviews with, among others, Mitsuishi Kotono aka the voice of Sailor Moon herself. Also, a pretty comprehensive merchandise list and a look at the current musical. The included DVD had three tracks: A trailer with Momoiro Clover Z’s singing in the background, a trailer with only BGM, and video of the Nico Nico Chokaigi3 Sailor Moon panel/presentation from the spring.

Do you think you could offer separate downloads only of Naoko’s Punch! series from the Young You magazines so we won’t have to download the whole thing just for that?

Absolutely. We have a page set up here for this purpose. It appears that none of the Punch series is in the issues we have acquired and posted (though some of her artwork is shown), however we will have the individual chapters set aside in the linked page as we acquire them.

The link for the SM Volume 14 Hong Kong edition doesn’t work. When you click on it, it says “Page Not Found”

Hey, just FYI, the Taiwanese edition of the manga aren’t written in Cantonese. Written Chinese doesn’t really change very much between dialects. Rather, what changes is the pronunciation of the characters. Therefore most Chinese published print material is classified as being either written in Chinese traditional characters (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau) or Chinese simplified characters (mainland China, Singapore). So really the blurb on these books should say that they’re “Chinese – Traditional.”
