Plus, Sailor Moon Crystal Season III gets a little sample, thanks to a Japanese commercial spot, and a cafe theme, next month.

Sailor Moon does commercials for Cocola BB Joma

Cocola BB Joma is an energy drink for people who want to lift their spirits and display even greater potential than usual. What’s interesting is that Joma, in Japanese, is backwards for Majo (or witch), and is marketed with a magical theme.
It’s slogan is “Cast a spell of happiness,” which sounds mighty familiar. hmmm… ;)

PERSONAL NOTE: Business suit Usagi is the best…even with her glasses on. :P

Cafe Death Busters coming next month!

The ON STATION will host a Death Busters themed cafe, to promote the premiere of Sailor Moon Crystal’s third season! The menu is themed to be focused on the Outer Sailor Guardians, and it will run from April 4th to May 9th!

Hey, Dreamers! Welcome to this week’s update, where our ongoing series of the never-before-scanlated Mermaid Panic releases continue, with the release of chapter 10! Plus, Sailor Moon Crystal Season III news, from the premeire event, held last weekend.

Mermaid Panic Chapter 10

Sailor Moon Crystal Season III, to premiere April 4th, with News!

The worldwide premiere trailer for season 3 showed up over the weekend, during the early premiere event. We got to it and subbed it for you guys. Go ahead and download it by clicking on the picture below, or the text below the image.

Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3 Trailer Subtitled

As we called it, in our last update, the season premeire is set for April 4th on Japanese network: TOKYO MX. As for other networks, here’s when they’ll air the season premiere:

All Times are Japan Military Time
TOKYO MX – every Monday at 23:00, starting April 4th
Sun TV – every Tuesday at 24:00, starting April 5th
TVQ Kyushu – every Friday at 25:58, starting April 8th
Hokkaido TV – every Sunday at 25:05, starting April 10th
TV Aichi – every Sunday at 25:35, starting April 10th
BS11 – every Tuesday at 23:30, starting April 12th

This also indicates that this season will be a weekly airing, instead of bi-weekly, when they aired the first two seasons in 2014. No more waiting for two weeks, to see what’s going to happen next! :D

Now, we await some news throughout March, of when the world will get to see it via streaming services like Crunchyroll and/or Hulu/Viz.

As for other stuff, let’s lay it all on the table:

• The opening theme, “In Love with the New Moon”, will be performed by Etsuko Yakushimaru, who also sung the cover of Otome No Policy, from the 20th Anniversary album.
• The ending theme, “Eternal Eternity”, will be a duet of Sailors Uranus and Neptune voice actresses, Junko Minagawa and Sayaka Ohara. This is the first time, since the 90s anime, that actual voice actresses sing a song, that will be played within the series.
• Transformation sequences will be brand new and hand-drawn, rather than CGI.
• Series director, Chiaki Kon, told us that this season will be more loyal to manga than the first two arcs.
• Like the first two seasons, they will stick to the chapter-per-episode format…except for some, which will be divided into two episodes, due to certain manga chapters in the manga being long.
• And yes, they even added some funny faces, that Naoko Takeuchi wanted to include.
• One more to point out: Wanpak, notorious for weird animations in certain episodes of the first 2 seasons, has returned to animate certain episodes of this season, as @aers00 pointed out, that they worked on episode 6 in January, 2016. You can see it here.

February has gone very fast, as we enter March, Dreamers! Welcome to this week’s update! This week features our continuing series of the never-before-scanlated scanlated Mermaid Panic releases, with the release of chapter 9! Plus, some more brief Sailor Moon Crystal Season III news, from the Sera Myu event, held last weekend.

Sailor Moon Crystal Season III, to Air on 6 Japanese Networks

More detailed surfaced, over the weekend, that Crystal’s 3rd season will broadcast over 6 Japanese TV networks, according to the latest promotional poster, that was posted on SOS Sailor Moon Brazil facebook page, when the event was going on.

Crystal’s 1st two seasons were re-airing on TV, Mondays, from October 5th, 2015; one week after Act 26 aired, with the notice of the 3rd season in production, on TOKYO MX.

The following is just pure speculation and not actual facts:  It may be likely that TOKYO MX, one of the 6 networks that Crystal is currently airing on, may will premiere season 3 as early as on April 4th, one week following Act 26’s re-airing, which is set for March 28th, since they stated April to be the month season 3 will premiere. The other five networks that Crystal’s first 2 season are airing on, TVQ Kyushu, TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, Sun TV, and BS11, will most-likely have their premiere dates as well.

UPDATE 3/6/16: Premiere date was revealed on a poster, during the Season III premiere event. More details in next week’s update.

That’s why we await some news throughout March, of the actual premiere date, and when the world will get to see it via streaming services like Crunchyroll and/or Hulu/Viz.

Anyway, this special event was streamed via Niconico, and is mainly focused on the graduated Sera Myu cast, which last performed back in Fall 2015, with Un Nouveau Voyage. They basically reflected on their experiences being part of the musical, and the experience that is Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon Crystal Season III, to get an Advanced Screening

This past week, we learned that season 3’s premiere episode will be shown at Ikebukuro’s Animate, on March 6th. This is a free and private, event, but you need to sign up at Evil Line’s site (click here) to get a ticket to the event.

Guests Fumio Osano and director Chiaki Kon will be at the premiere event, to talk about it.
