Happy New Year 2013 Raws: Nakayoshi December 2012

Hello Miss Dreamers! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and will also have fun ringing in the new year tonight! I apologize for the lack of an update last week, we had the plague (or flu if you want to refer to it that way) and were pretty much knocked out of commission. We’re finally making progress in recovering, and hope to have more stuff ready to put online soon! For now, we have the current December 2012 issue of Nakayoshi magazine. Think of it as an early gift for 2013. ;p I’m not too sure what I have on the plate for next week, but I’ve already started poking around to see what I can have up for then. Enjoy the New Year celebrations tonight and be safe!

Miss Dream Monday Raws: Chix Comics and Ciao Magazine

Welcome back to another edition of Miss Dream Monday!

While we sadly do not have any new scanlations for this week, we do have some English scans to put online today! This comes in the form of Chix Comics, Tokyopop’s release of individual chapters of the Sailor Moon manga from the late 1990s. We do eventually plan to post all 35 volumes they had released, and start this off today with the first four volumes.

Also being posted today is another Japanese magazine. We’ll be taking a brief break from Nakayoshi this week, and bring to you the February 2001 Issue of Ciao magazine! This is more of a bonus post as there isn’t any Sailor Moon or Naoko Takeuchi related content, however it is still a fun find. If there’s any “Tottoro Hamtaro” fans, this does include a chapter from that story. =)

In something I was told just after I finished typing, some of you are likely aware that Osabu, the editor of Sailor Moon and Naoko Takeuchi’s works, has recently opened a twitter account. Over the weekend, we were given his blessings to officially translate his tweets into English! You can folllow these translations at OsabuP_English. This will be updated in batches whenever sassypants678 has the time, and will coincide with the order of his tweets. Check it out and follow!

Also, not really any new content, however in the past week, I have completed a reorganization of downloads on the backend and have updated all direct download links on the site (sans previous updates). If you come across any issues, please let me know. We recently redid the layout of the doujin and extra translation portal pages, so please enjoy the new and easier to navigate pages!

Toki Meca scanlation + More Nakayoshi raws

Welcome back Miss Dreamers for another edition of Miss Dream Monday!

Today, we finally post our scanlation of the book, Toki Meca! This book has the first four chapters of the ten chapter story. The next six chapters were not released in books, only via Nakayoshi back issues. We do plan to translate and post the rest of the story once we are able to. We have gathered almost all of the Nakayoshis required to translate the entire story. We currently only lack the November 2005 issue which contains chapter 5. If anyone manages to see a listing, auction, or otherwise for this issue (even in a bulk pack), please contact sassypants678 at [email protected] so we can try to get our hands on this issue and have the ability to complete this story! If my memory serves me correctly, this is the last one we need to allow us to complete the translation of all of Naoko Takeuchi’s works. For now, enjoy the start of this wonderfully cute story!

Raw galleries we are adding this week are two more issues of Nakayoshi magazine! The first one for the day is the June 2002 issue. This issue is special as it hosts the final chapter of the story, Love Witch. We also continue our postings of the more current issues with the November 2012 issue. Unlike the previous month, this issue sadly does not have any ads for Sailor Moon (nor does the current December 2012 issue and the fresh-off-the-press January 2013 issue =( ), however this continues many of this year’s new stories, including a chapter of the manga based off of the popular JPOP group, AKB0048.

That’s all for this week. While I’d like to say we’d have more scanlations ready for next week, I’m not so sure at this point. Then again, this time last week I had no idea that Toki Meca would be ready, so we’ll see! I can say for sure that we will continue to beef up our raw galleries, and even have some English raw scans to look forward to! Won’t say exactly which ones yet, so stay tuned! ^_~

Miss Rain scanlation + More Nakayoshi

Hello Miss Dreamers! Welcome to this week’s edition of Miss Dream Monday!

Starting off today, now finally ready to be posted online is a scanlation of another one of Naoko Takeuchi, Miss Rain. This book is a compilation of five short stories that were originally published in Nakayoshi magazine. Now, almost 20 years after it’s release, this book can be finally enjoyed in English!

We’re also putting two more back issues of Nakayoshi magazine online. The first one is from July 1996. This issue is special in that it includes the Act 53 of Sailor Moon from the Stars arc. Shoujo fans will also enjoy chapters from Card Captor Sakura and Saint Tail also in this issue! As a bonus, January 1998 has also been posted online. While this issue does not have anything from Sailor Moon or Naoko Takeuchi, it does have another chapter of Card Captor Sakura, and many other series to enjoy.

Nakayoshi Scans + Kodansha Error Report

Welcome back to Miss Dream Monday – I hope you all had an awesome holiday!

Our entire staff has been hard at work finalizing some scanlation projects we’ve had in development for a few months, and we are *almost* ready to post – so this week is a bit light. However, our upcoming weeks are going to be overflowing with content, so stay tuned!
