Donation Target Met!

Wow. I am shocked and humbled that so many visitors to this site have been so generous in our time of need. Thanks to all of your support, we were able to raise $200 to replace Yen-sama’s laptop…in under 24 hours.

I am totally blown away, and can’t thank you all enough. I am so touched and inspired that our community pulled together to keep this project going. When Sailor Moon fans unite to work toward a goal, things get done fast! I am so honored and proud to be a part of this community.

Thank you all again for your support. A huge thanks to everyone who donated, re-blogged on Tumblr, or who tweeted about us on Twitter or Facebook.

I don’t have the words to express how deeply appreciative I am to everyone who helped us out. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ll be here at my desk tearing up and feeling all sentimental.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

MONEY RAISED, THANK YOU!

Founding graphical designer Yen-sama’s computer has bitten the dust. To this end, we have three entire books worth of translated material that we are unable to get online.

To raise funds Yen has taken to selling lots of her Sailor Moon merchandise, but she is still about $200 short of what she needs to purchase a new computer to get back to work.

Over the years Yen has worked tirelessly to get Miss Dream’s scanlations online. Without her, there would be no Miss Dream. Period. None of the stuff you can download and enjoy at this site would be here if not for Yen’s encouragement and years of hard work.

Please consider donating to Yen’s ChipIn campaign or purchasing something from her sales page. The sooner we can get this money raised, the sooner the Miss Dream project can get almost 600 pages of translated material online for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you in advance for helping us in our time of need. We really do appreciate it – and we look forward to releasing more manga goodies for download soon!

Monday Night Raws: Zettai, Kare wo Ubatte Miseru!

Happy Miss Dream Monday!

This week, before we kick off the highly anticipated Project Animanga, we are sharing something very rare.

Please enjoy a copy of Zettai, Kare wo Ubatte Miseru – the last of a series of books written by Marie Koizumi and illustrated by Sailor Moon’s author, Naoko Takeuchi.

This book is incredibly rare and difficult to find. Only a handful of collectors know about its existence and are lucky enough to own a copy. It had a very limited print in 1998 and many of the copies have significantly deteriorated over time. When I found a copy at a good price online, I immediately snagged it with the intention of digitizing it for longevity.

Sincere thanks are owed to Brad of Moonkitty.net, who was kind enough to forward this book to me in New York since the seller would ship within Japan only.

Marie Koizumi and Naoko Takeuchi collaborated on a series of illustrated girls’ romance novels published by Kodansha between 1994 and 1998. The two manga authors remain close friends today.

I hope everyone will enjoy this download. Have a great week, and see you this Thursday for PGSM goodies! :)
