Cherry Project Scanlation Continues!

Happy Miss Dream Monday everyone! After being slightly snowed in, we’re able to continue the winter story of The Cherry Project this week, with the posting of Volume 2! It’s only appropriate to move along this story as winter progresses, and we should very likely be able to finish this while we’re in the season. Enjoy the continuation of this cute story!

For our Monday Night Raws offering, we’re going to take a break from Nakayoshi postings this week, and continue filling up slots of Tokyopop’s Chix Comix release of the individual Sailor Moon chapters from the 1990s. Starting to fill in the gap between the previous two postings, online today is volume 8 and volume 9. I promise we’ll eventually have these postings in order, we’re in the process of finishing the scanning and processing for these to be able to do so.

There has also been some various tweaks to the site recently well worth noting. The most reported issue has finally been fixed, with all direct downloads of Mixxzine issues no longer being corrupt. I apologize for the length of time this has taken, however as we were unable to locate the original files , we had to rescan these to recreate them.

Something you’ll also notice if you clicked that link is a bulk download torrent. Over the past couple of weeks, we have put together 5 bulk torrent packs for easier downloading. Outside of the aforementioned Mixxzine issues, bulk torrents are now available for Sailor Moon Japanese “Shinsouban” raws, Sailor Moon Japanese “Tankoubon” raws, the Sailor Moon Animanga Books by Nakayoshi, and the Tokyopop Pocket Comics release of Sailor Moon from over a decade ago. These bulk torrents should make downloading easier and more flexible for all y’all, enjoy!

That does it for this week. I actually have more translation postings queued up which is a nice change, so you can expect new translated material for at least the next few weeks, as well as continuously expanding our raws section. I also have amazing news in that after a long search, we were finally able to acquire the November 2005 issue of Nakayoshi magazine last night. With this, we will be able to complete Toki Meca! A very huge thank you to bunnycartoon who saw our plea and sold her copy to us! ^_^ Upon arrival, it will be scanned so we may resume work with this series! We are still on the hunt for the May 2006 issue, even though we have found raw scans decent enough to use for the final chapter, we would much rather scan ourselves. If anyone is willing to sell a copy of this or knows someone who is, please let us know. See you all next week!

Monday Night RAWs Focus

Happy Miss Dream Monday! Today, we focus on adding more fun raws for your enjoyment! Taking a break from continuing the two Nakayoshi years from the past few weeks, we’ve got a nifty rare magazine to post. Now online is the March 1997 issue of Amie magazine. Amie is another magazine featuring many popular girls comics, such as “Clover” by CLAMP and “Juline” by Narumi Kakinouchi. This issue is special, as it contains the only short story by Naoko Takeuchi ever released outside of Nakayoshi / Kodansha Publishing: “Rain Kiss.” Other fun stories by various authors are here as well!

As this is the first posting in February, we will now put up the January 2013 issue of Nakayoshi magazine. Though there was no Sailor Moon news in this issue, this is a good way for fans outside of Japan to keep up with the current series.

That is all for this week. We’re still working on getting more scanlations shooped for eventual posting, and I’m hoping to have one addition to a series we started posting next week, but can’t promise as of this typing. What I can promise is that we have likely a years worth of raw postings processed in our backlog now. @_@;; sassypants678 has been going crazy with them which has been amazing. Over the year, you can expect more Nakayoshi magazines, Chix comics to be finished, other artbook like postings, and previously mentioned Smile magazines. Also, a surprise raws section will be added sometime this year. ^_~ Be ready!

PQ Angels Scanlation Continues!

Happy Miss Dream Monday everyone! Today, we continue our scanlation of PQ Angels with chapter 2 going online today! For our Monday Night Raws contribution, we are continuing the same two years of Nakayoshi that we have been posting the past couple of weeks. March 1996 is up featuring chapter 49 of Sailor Moon, and May 2001 is up today because it’s fun. =P

Today is also a very special day, as it is the one year anniversary of Deimos going online for hosting and more. While Miss Dream didn’t move to this server until a week or so later, the launch of this box certainly laid the groundwork for the massive expansion of this site. The move away from shared/VPS-hosting was certainly a needed one. Thanks to Deimos, we’ve been able to dedicate more resources while simultaneously making a significant change to the site software for much better performance. With the massive amount of space installed, it became possible to host many more downloads, especially when you consider the massive raws we have available. It also acts as a seed box, where nearly all of our torrents have active seeds (there’s some from prior to my addition to staff which I plan to remedy in the near future). This also allowed for us to greatly expand our gallery offerings, as instead of just having galleries of individual chapters of releases, everything -including the raws- has a gallery for easy viewing without requiring you to download.

For those who like fun stats, here’s a few gems in regards to how much we’ve grown in content.

Translation file size total: 51GB: 38GB fansubs, 13GB scanlations, 0.9GB doujin
Raws file size total: 211GB
Galleries file size total: 33GB

It should be noted that the raws and galleries totals are slightly inflated as there’s been work prepped but not currently online. We probably have enough raws backlogged to last the rest of the year, and we’re still trying to get more. @_@;; It’s been a great year, and I’m sure we will enjoy many years to come! ^___^

PQ Angels Scanlation Start!

Happy Miss Dream Monday! Today is a special Monday, as we begin posting another one of Naoko Takeuchi’s stories, this one being PQ Angels! This story is four chapters long, and was not released outside of Nakayoski magazine back issues from 1997. We start this story with chapter 1, which introduces the main characters and sets the stage for things to come.

As for our Monday Night Raws, we continue with more Nakayoshi magazines. Going on with what was started last week, February 1996 gets added to our archives today. This contains Act 48 of Sailor Moon, with chapters from Magic Knight Rayearth and Saint Tail for fans of those series. This next one is also a continuation from last week, the April 2001 issue of Nakayoshi. This is another one we acquired without anything from Naoko Takeuchi, however, it does have chapters from popular stories such as Tokyo Mew Mew and Musume Monogatari.

That’s all for this week! We’re working on getting more of Naoko’s work translated and online, and have plenty of more raws to add each week. There’s no signs of stopping, come back next week for more fun downloads!

Saturn Game Cutscenes and More Nakayoshi Raws

Happy Miss Dream Monday! We’re kicking off this week with a recently made request that we were able to turn around fairly quickly. Our first video posting of 2013 is a fansub of the cutscenes from the Sailor Moon SuperS Sega Saturn game. This game was released in the mid-90s and had a number of cutscenes made, which have been translated for your pleasure!

Tonight’s Monday Night Raws picks back up with Nakayoshi magazine. The first one is from January 1996, which features Act 47 of Sailor Moon, and chapters from other popular series at the time in Magic Knight Rayearth and Saint Tail! The second issue going up today is from March 2001. This issue doesn’t have anything by Naoko Takeuchi, however does contin fun series such as Tokyo Mew Mew and Musume Monogatari!

That’s all for this week. For doujin fans, I have been made aware of Sailor Scribbles, who translates a lot of them, including the popular Cockpit Doujinshi. sassypants678 hasn’t had time to deal with the doujin side of things, and highly recommends this site for your fix!
