Toki Meca Prequel Translation Online!

Happy Miss Dream Monday everyone! sassypants678 and I have returned from Otakon, and enjoyed meeting so many of you there! We had been bouncing between so many people, so we’re sorry that we didn’t get to spend more time with y’all, but it was still good to meet so many people in person for the first time! In celebration of a great weekend, we have a hefty update today, starting with the posting of the Toki Meca Prequel translation!

Toki Meca Prequel Translation

That’s right, we finally have more scanlations ready for the site, with the Toki Meca Prequel translation being the first to go up today! While Toki Meca did have a tankoubon released containing four chapters, there was a special preview chapter published only in Nakayoshi magazine well before these chapters. This chapter is nearly 60 pages in length, and is extremely hard to find because of its rarity. We hope that you enjoy our posting of the Toki Meca translation in gallery format, direct download, and PDF, whichever you prefer! Click on the image above to start reading the Toki Meca Prequel translation!

Also this week, Misty of Myu Corner has caught up in the Kodansha error guides! She has recently finished the postings of the most recent four volumes. Today’s posting will bring these guides to current status, which contains:

  • Volume 9
  • Volume 10
  • Volume 11
  • Volume 12
  • We also continue Nakayoshi Rush this week, moving forward with 2002, finishing its winter season and moving along spring, while also posting last month’s publication, July 2013! Nakayoshi magazine is a famous publication in Japan which has featured shoujo manga for many decades. Sailor Moon is one of many franchises that was featured in this magazine. News relating to any franchises serialized in Nakayoshi is usually posted within the magazine as well. While there are no Sailor Moon chapters in these issues, Naoko Takeuchi’s story, Love Witch, has its first two chapters in these postings! These issues also contain chapters of other popular shoujo series such as Tokyo Mew Mew and Musume Monogatari!

Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Nico Farre Event #2

Happy Sunday/Monday, Miss Dreamers! After an early morning of Murphy’s Law being in full affect, we are proud to announce our completed fansub of the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Nico Farre Event #2.

The event took place at 5 PM JPN on Sunday, August 4th (4 AM Eastern Standard Time). The event starts off with a small history of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon over the last 20 years. Osano Fumio (Osabu), treats us to a message from Naoko Takeuchi, and the event quickly moves into announcing the cast of the new musical, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon ~La Reconquista~.

Appearing live at the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Nico Farre Event #2 are the actresses for Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Venus: Okubo Satomi, Nanaki Kanon, and Sakata Shiori respectively, as well as the actresses who will be playing the Shitennou. There is also a video message from the Takarazuka veteran, Yuga Yamato, who will be playing Tuxedo Mask.

Momoiro clover Z cut in live from their concert in Yokohama which was happening simultaneously, to treat everyone to their performance of Moonlight Densetsu. We also are treated to appearances with the producer, Kataoka Yoshirou, and the composer, Hiramitsu Takuya; both of whom, coincidentally, worked on Hunter x Hunter, a manga series by Naoko’s husband, Togashi Yoshihiro.

What did we learn from the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Nico Farre Event #2?

    1) New anime will be available for worldwide simulcast via NicoNico Douga. Other stations may be announced in the future, but this is the primary format in which the new series will be released. No word yet on whether it’ll be subtitled for international users or if any dubs will be produced.

    2) In the upcoming October issue of Nakayoshi magazine, there will be information about the brand new “Kanzenban” or complete edition of the Sailor Moon manga.

So that’s it. Please enjoy! Thank you to those who stayed up with us to watch live!

Sailor Moon News Event Livestream Plans

Hello everyone! We are officially less than a day from the NicoNico Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Event Livestream part 2! We have spent the week preparing for the big Sailor Moon news event, and have a system in place to bring the news to you as fast as possible. Here is everything that you can expect to happen starting around 4AM EST tomorrow morning:

    * We have a special page set up for the Sailor Moon news eventlive feed, which is now online here. We have a countdown timer leading to the event, and will be streaming from one of our NicoNico accounts to this page. Our twitter account will be updated live just to the right of this feed with information as it happens on stage. We even have a chat room set up on the page for those who wish to talk about the event as things happen.
    * Our other NicoNico account will be used to record the stream. This raw recording will be put online not that long after the event ends.
    * Translation work will begin immediately following the posting of the raw video. The event is scheduled to take an hour, so this should hopefully take less time than last year’s, but there is no way for us to give an accurate time frame. Once complete, this will be available for download via a direct download as well as a torrent.

This is going to be an exciting (though stressful here XD) time! We know for sure that there will be information of the new musical and new anime, as well as a performance by the musical cast! They even said other news as well, so be prepared for a lot of information coming our way! It’s going to be a fun time, we hope y’all enjoy everything that’s going down both here as well as the Sailor Moon news event in general, and will see you in a little over 16 hours! =D

BREAKING: New Naoko Takeuchi Interview in ROLa Magazine!

There is an article about the new Naoko Takeuchi interview in ROLa magazine, which will be selling its first-ever issue starting in August 2013.
Below is a translation of this article: http://natalie.mu/comic/news/94024

“Sailor Moon”‘s Naoko Takeuchi interview in ROLa magazine’s first issue.

On sale August 1st, the women’s fashion’s magazine ROLa (Shinchousha Publishing) will be featuring a getting to know you interview with “Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon”‘s Naoko Takeuchi.

Holding the interview is a big Sailor Moon fan, Shounen Aya. The article will feature secret information about the birth of “Sailor Moon”, Naoko’s every-day struggles with her editor, Tuxedo Masks’s unexpected motifs, etc., as well as her favorite episodes. Takeuchi hasn’t done an interview in over 11 years, her last one was back in 2002 in “Figurine King” magazine (World Photo Press), so fans are in eager anticipation of this article.

ROLa isn’t published by Kodansha, but by another company that specializes in women’s fashion. This new publication seems like it’ll be similar to Tokyo ViVi, which has been featuring artwork and news regarding the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon. Naoko Takeuchi has been rather seclusive in recent years, and so it is noteworthy that she is once again talking to media and giving interviews.

(As a side note, I own the issue of Figurine King referenced in the article and will be providing scans of it in the very near future, for anyone who is interested! Naoko Takeuchi gave a great interview in that publication with some very rare photos of herself, and I hope we’ll see something similar to that in the upcoming ROLa magazine article!)

Thanks to @ANN_Lynzee for letting us know about this article!

I have purchased a copy of ROLa magazine, and will be making a full translation of the interview. Look forward to it! :)

Update: This has been translated and can be read here! =D

Happy Miss Dream Monday everyone! Before I start listing off today’s postings, those of you who stayed up last night likely saw that Sailor Moon Channel’s news page was updated with a big announcement. On Sunday, August 4th, 5PM JPN time (converts to August 4th 4AM EST), there will be another 20th Anniversary celebration much in the vein of last year’s. This one will be focused on announcements, including information on the new musical, new anime, and more! This will be streamed on Niconico for premium account holders, of which we do have an account. We intend to do what we did for last year’s event, in that we will live stream information on our twitter account, release a raw not long after, and a fansub as soon as possible. It is scheduled for an hour, so we’re hoping for a quicker turnaround at this point. We are also hoping to make a special page here to stream from our stream as well as have our tweets update below it as we make them. Essentially, as live as a fansub as we can make. Details on everything we will be doing will be ironed out through the week. Keep an eye things here and all social media, as we will be working very hard to get everything from this event available to all of you as soon as possible.
